The beautiful Byington Vineyards and Winery

You can get to two excellent, premium wineries in well under an hour from the San Jose or Santa Clara Metropolitan areas. The David Bruce Winery and the Byington Winery are located within a quarter mile of one another on a beautiful and rugged mountain road in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Make sure you call the winery and book a time for wine tasting.

David Bruce Winery

Since 1964 the David Bruce Winery has been making excellent Pinot Noir, plus Chardonnay, Petite Sirah, and Zinfandel. The winery is at 2200 feet elevation and among the gigantic Coastal Redwoods. The climate at this spot is perfect for growing Pinot Noir grapes. What a lovely way to spend a getaway in this terrific area of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

The tasting room is open Noon to 3 p.m. Fri., 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat.–Sun.
Friday the tasting room is closed during the winter months,

Byington Winery

Just a short distance from David Bruce is the Byington Vineyards and Winery. The winery is luxurious and elegant, and the grounds are spectacular, with fantastic views. The wines match the elegance of the winery. The Pinot Noir wines are outstanding, but so are the other varietals of wine made at Byington. If you have the chance, plan your trip around a picnic lunch. It is so pretty and serene at Byington; it is the perfect way to rejuvenate the spirit.

Tasting is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
