Most of the wineries in the Carmel Valley are located deep into the valley and the area is not suitable for extensive auto traffic. Several of these wineries have convenient tasting rooms located near Carmel Valley Village, which is about 12 miles from Highway 1 on Carmel Valley Road. There is only one winery, the Chateau Julien, that has a combined winery and tasting room available. Read More


Advice for your Carmel Valley Wine Tour:

When you visit the Monterey Bay and Carmel, take a day or half-day to visit the tasting rooms located along Carmel Valley Road. From Highway 1 head south from Carmel and quickly look for Carmel Valley Road on the left.
