Robert Hall Winery
Owned and operated by Robert Hall, this is a state-of-the art wine facility. They produce 11 varietals of wine both Rhone and the traditional varietals. The wines are aged in barrels that are stored in their 19,000 square foot cavern system. The Robert Hall Winery is known for its dedication to their estate vineyards and the production of small lots of wine. If you get a chance take a tour so you can check out the extensive cavern system. To get to Robert Hall travel on Highway 46 East from Garretson and you will see the winery on the right.

Open daily from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Phone: (805) 239-1616

EOS Estate Winery
Continue on Highway 46 East and you can't miss the beautiful estate EOS winery. The winery currently produces wine under three labels. The EOS labeled wines are estate wines and are recognized for their quality. Arciero and Novella are the other two labels. The Novella label is used to designate their Italian style wines. The tasting room is very spacious and filled with all types of wine merchandise and other items for sale. The picnic area is also very inviting with views of the vineyards and winery. There is also a self-guided winery tour that visitors can take.

Chumeia Vineyards
In contrast to Robert Hall and EOS, Chumeia is a very small winery but loads of fun to visit. The atmosphere is informal and you will enjoy tasting some very well made wines. Chances are you will run into the co-owner and winemaker Lee Nesbitt. Since the tasting room is actually in the winemaking facilities, Lee will probably be in close proximity. He just might jump in and tell you himself about the Chumeia wines. The winery produces 7500 cases per year from grapes obtained from selected vineyards throughout Paso Robles and other parts of California. The winery is located just a short distance east from EOS

Tasting room open daily 10 am to 5 pm, Phone: (805) 226-0102 or (888) 343-9445.

Tobin James Cellars
The saloon type setting for a tasting room is quite unusual for a winery but makes for a fun and relaxed atmosphere for wine tasting. The “not so serious” attitude at Tobin James makes it a popular spot for wine tasters of all sorts. Make sure you visit this winery but be prepared, this can be a popular spot on weekends. They have an extensive number of wine varietals. We enjoyed the Syrah and their two reserve Zinfandels. Tobin James is the last winery on this side of Highway 46 East. Turn back and head for Eberle.

Eberle Winery
From Tobin James make your way back to Paso Robles on Highway 46 East. On the right just a few miles before Paso Robles you will spot the signs for Eberle. Eberle is very popular especially on weekends. If winemaker Gary Eberle is in the tasting room you are sure to get a few laughs. He is a character! Visitors love to take the cave tour that takes you through rows of gunnite caves. We think the reasonably priced wines made by Eberle are all very good values. Be sure to try the Steinbeck Syrah, and the Syrah Rose. The picnic area is also quite beautiful, overlooking vineyards and rolling hills.
