Sure, you can check Trip Advisor and the like for recommendations in the Napa Valley but you cannot always rely on those for sound advice. We have been traveling to the Napa Valley for 40 years. I think we have stayed in just about every style of lodging in the Valley. We have stayed in budget type lodging, exquisite lodging, B&B's, and we have even rented vacation homes. Take a look at our recommended accommodations for the towns of Napa, Yountville, St. Helena, and Calistoga.
Lodging in Napa
We like to stay downtown near all the shops, tasting rooms, and great restaurants. We always walk to dinner, so no worries about the designated driver. We enjoy our wine with dinner. The top spots in the downtown area are the Avia Hotel, the Napa River Inn, and the budget-minded Travel Lodge. We also like the Napa Marriott on Solano Road. Although it is a few miles to downtown, the hotel has its own restaurant and lounge, and a cab ride into town is only about $15. Here is a complete list of the best lodging in Napa. |
